We Meet You, O Christ (VU 183, verses 1, 2, 4))

We meet You, O Christ, in many a guise, Your image we see in simple and wise. You live in a palace, exist in a shack. We see you, the gardener, a tree on your back. In millions alive, away and abroad; Involved in our life you live down the road. Imprisoned in systems, you long to be free. We see you, O Jesus, still bearing your tree. You choose to be made at one with the earth; The dark of the grave prepares for your birth. Your death is your rising, creative your word: The tree springs to life and our hope is restored.

Welcome

Call to Worship Come and join together in prayer and worship for our Lord is Risen! Amen, we joyfully gather to pray and sing the glory of God. I hope that your week was good and that you are well. By the grace of God, we happily come to meet with our friends today. May God bless this congregation and all the people of this world. Praise be to God.

Opening Prayer

Mothering God, You Gave Me Birth (VU 320) Mothering God, you gave me birth In the bright morning of this world. Creator, source of every breath, You are my rain, my wind, my sun.

Mothering Christ, you took my form, Offering me your food of light, Grain of my life, and grape of love, Your very body for my peace.   Mothering Spirit, nurturing one, In arms of patience hold me close, So that in faith I root and grow Until I flower, until I know.

Words of Regret Beloved Lord Jesus, As we journey together on the road, We exchange confidences. You tell us about your difficulties and your joys. We tell you about our shortcomings and our victories. We travel the road and enjoy the happy moments. Be with us blessed Lord, Lest we go astray. Amen! And Assurance

Living Water, Source of Life (VU 645) God our Mother, Living Water, River of Mercy, Source of Life, in whom we live and move and have our being, who quenches our thirst,

refreshes our weariness, bathes and washes and cleanses our wounds, be for us always a fountain of life, and for all the world a river of hope springing up in the midst of the deserts of despair. Invitation to the Offering Prayer for the Offering

Through the days of Spring, The showers of warmer days And the peaceful nights of our community We thank you God for this opportunity to love To give, to share and to be those you need us to be. Bless our offering, Bless those who offered them and those who will benefit from them That in Christ, we all gather as one. Amen.

Spirit of Holiness, let all your saints adore Your sacred energy, and bless your heart renewing power. No angel tongues can tell your love's ecstatic height, The glorious joy unspeakable, the beatific sight.	Eternal, Triune God, let all the hosts above, Let all on earth below record and dwell upon your love. When heaven and earth have fled before your glorious face, May all the saints your love has made sing everlasting praise.

Commissioning

Go in Peace brothers and sisters from Summerlea! We go now into our community joyfully praising God. We know how loved we are and how blessed we are. Go out and be a blessing! We go, bearing the message of Jesus, the Risen One. Be happy, be strong and be bold! The resurrection of Christ is within us. Amen my friends. Go and tell about God.
