Anniversary Lunch 2005 / 2006

The 2005 / 2006 anniversary lunch took place Sunday 29 January after the church service. Traditionally the event has been held in October, but it was decided to delay it because of all the activities that take place in October and November. The lunch was a pot-luck affair attended by some 100 people of all age groups.

The service included laying down of banners symbolizing
Summerlea United, St. Andrew's Presbyterian and the Holy Spirit.

The choir presented a swinging version of "River in Judea", by J. Feldman and J. Leavitt,
under the direction of Summerlea musical director Connie Osborne.

Rick Scheffer, President of the Montreal & Ottawa Conference,
talked about living our dreams.

After the service the congregation repaired to St. Andrew's Hall.
At one end was the pot luck buffet table,
somewhat depleted by the time the photo was taken.
At the other end was the unofficial head table, where we see
Howard Clark, Fran Olsen and her husband Rick Scheffer (guest speaker), and Iris Percy.

under the direction of Kevin McKenzie and family.

with thanks that we can dream
