Sunday, 5 December 2010 was the second Sunday in Advent, and White Gift Sunday at
Summerlea. For the occasion the young folks presented a non-traditional pageant called
"Matt and Lucy's Version Births", by Dot Saunders-Perez. Thanks to Susan McKenzie for putting it all together, and to Patrick Freud for some of the photos on this page, which are pickable to see a larger version. |
|
The morning began with a presentation to Margaret Payette of the Lachine Food Bank. She did not turn around to be photographed. |

| The candle of Hope was lit by the Troncoso family, Angela, Samuel, Ana & Alberto. |

| The WGS Players ready to perform. |

| Directrice Alayna instructs the players to get ready, she'll be back shortly. |

|
Matt (Jacob) and Lucy (Michelle) discuss their understanding of the play about to ensue. There seems to be some disagreement as three wise guys (Kevin, Peter & Keith) appear on the scene. |

| The confusion continues as shepherds (Elizabeth & Samuel), angels (Caroline & Cassandra) and a sheep (Raphael) wander in. |

|
As directrice Alayna gathers the cast around Mary (Ana) & Joseph (Phillip), the different viewpoints are discussed. |

| The sheep seems to be somewhat of a scene-stealer. |

| Following the play, the youngsters bring forward the white gifts. |
