Welcome Back BBQ 2011

The Summerlea congregation and local community were treated to a Welcome Back Barbeque after the service on September 25, 2011. The weather was partly sunny and cool, fine for an outdoor event, as the congregation and some neighbours gathered on the lawn to enjoy hamburgers and hotdogs cooked on the barbeque along with juice, coffee and desserts. Many thanks to all those who provided bbq's, set up, cooked, served and cleaned up. The photos are pickable to see a larger version.

On arrival for the service, tables and bbq's were all ready to go.

After the service folks tucked into the hotdogs and hamburgers.

The condiment table accommodated chatters as well.

If the cooks eat it, it must be okay. Stuffing your face when the photo is snapped is just the luck of the draw.

Most folks stood to eat and talk, despite the available tables & chairs.

Rev. Scott shot the breeze with Brian, and Rolanda Taylor*, and her mother, Victoria. *Field Placement Student for the coming year. Music director Connie shot the breeze with a couple of singers while other folks gabbed.

The Freud family and friends enjoyed the lawn.

Our thanks to all those who made possible this very enjoyable beginning to the 2011 / 2012 Summerlea year.
