As in past years, one of Summerlea's major fund-raising
activities in 2011 is in making meat and apple pies for sale.
The photos below show only a couple of the activities in 2011,
but a more complete overview is given in the 2010 article
at 2010 Pie Production. The photos below are pickable to see a larger version. |

Meat cooking got underway one day while Meals on Wheels were
still washing up as deliverers returned containers. Made for a busy kitchen. |

| Rolling pastry seems like a never-ending job, even with office administrator Susan lending a hand to Mary, Janet and Barbara. |

| And on it goes another day, with Isabelle, Michèle, Helen and Janet on duty. |

|
Marion and Jane enjoy a lighter moment while filling pies. Not sure what Sue and Marion are doing with the little pasty piles. Dave seems to have an input into this discussion. |

| Marion and Undeg check and adjust the weight of each pie. |

| Brian puts some weight on the crimping tool. |
| Nancy, then Lois, and Marg do the final trimming. |

|
Marion, Tom and Dave box the pies. Tom and Lois had the job earlier for the small meat pies. |
| And it's all hands on deck come cleanup time. |
Many thanks to all who participated, in particular Marion, Undeg, Mary, Bonnie, Janet et al, who seemed to be there every day that production was under way. |
