Summerlea United Church is administered by a Congregational Board consisting of:

The executive meets monthly and the full board meets at least three times per year.

Elders
Elders are elected to provide personal contact between the church and the families that they represent. They visit their assigned families on a regular basis to determine whether there are any needs or concerns that could be addressed with the aid of the church or other community resources.

Summerlea women's groups run activities such as the marathon bridge, June coffee party, December candle light service, and bazaar knit goods to raise funds for benevolent purposes.

Serendipity Group
Chairperson: Mary Guynan
"Serendipity - n - Faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident", Collins English Dictionary.
The Serendipity Group consists of about 30 ladies who meet once a month from September to June to share an hour or so in Christian fellowship.
Throughout the season we have guest speakers who refresh and inform us, we plan events, we socialize, and try to help out wherever and whenever the need may be.
Any monies we accrue are divided between Summerlea church and various outreach facilities.
In the Fall we are busy planning for our Antique and Unique room at the bazaar, which usually brings in around $2,000.00
During Advent our members plan and organize the Candlelight Service, at which the offering is given to the benevolent Fund.
New members are always welcome.

Worship and Membership Committee
Chairperson: Marion Golden
The Worship and Membership Committee is responsible for all matters affecting the promotion of fellowship and membership of persons within the Church and encouraging those without to enter into the life of the Church. The Organist and Choir Director and members of the Personnel Committee are ex-officio members of the Worship and Membership Committee.

Welcoming and Ushering Committee

The welcoming and ushering committee endeavours to make Summerlea's congregation and visitors feel welcome at church services and social gatherings. This involves arranging for ushers, directing the ushers, organizing refreshments for after-church events, etc.

The Outreach Committee is responsible for outreach and social action in the Church, in the community, in the nation and in the world. Missionary work. Benevolent work Social action including local programs in the community.

Board of Trustees
Chairperson: John Coffin
The board of trustees is responsible to hold and administer all property owned by the Summerlea congregation, including real estate transactions, capital expenditures, endowments, inheritances, etc., for the benefit of the congregation.

Finance Committee
Chairperson: Richard Legault
The Finance Committee is responsible for the total effort of planning, raising and spending all monies of the general or special funds of the church, excluding such groups as the U.C.W., Youth Groups, Scout Groups, or others. However, the Committee may examine and audit the books of these groups. The annual budget, the balance sheet, and any extraordinary expenses are presented to and approved by the members of the Congregation.

Stewardship Committee

The stewardship committee is responsible for ensuring that Summerlea's commitments, both financial and volunteer, are met. This involves an annual stewardship campaign, sometimes with Every Family Visitation, sound investment of available funds, and other activities necessary to meet the goals of a concerned congregation.

The Property and Maintenance Committee is responsible for the use, care, and maintenance of the Summerlea church properties.
