The 2003 Good Friday Walk took place under cloudy skies with cool temperatures but no rain. As
in the past, the western Lachine group started at the Full Gospel Assembly church on Sir George Simpson
and proceeded to Summerlea United, St. Paul's Anglican, St-André-Hubert-Fournet, finishing at
Resurrection of our Lord. At each church, readings from the stories of Jesus' last days were
presented, progressively, in French and in English. At Resurrection of our Lord church, the group from eastern Lachine joined for the final readings and hymns, followed by hot cross buns and water in the church basement. An estimated 300 people in all participated, including a dozen or so souls from Summerlea. Following are a few photos of the western group, as they made their way from church to church. |
