We gather on a

Beautiful sunny day...

Call to Worship

We are called to celebrate the best in life!
We gather to praise God for the beauty of the season.
The fantastic taste of fresh, warm raspberries,
Blueberries that stain our hands, lemonade of which we
had forgotten the tangy taste.
We recall memories of beautiful summers
given by God.

And we enjoy this time of year.
The city is quiet, the evenings are mild;
Let us worship our God who offers us a peaceful
community to live in. Amen

Opening Prayer

The Amalgamation Candle is lit.

O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go
(VU 658)

O Love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

O light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine's blaze
Its day may brighter, fairer be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain
That morn shall tearless be.

O cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life's glory dead'à,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.

We stumble over little things O God,
We get caught in intricate situations
that we did not want, or cause.
Take us out of these
and bring us back into your peace.
Allow each one to make amend
Open hearts and minds and hands
So that we are forgiven by you Loving God,
And that we forgive one another.
Amen.

Gather Us In (Rassemble-nous)
(MV 7)

Gather us in, ground us in you.
Gather us in, ground us in you.
Gather us in, gather us in,
ground us, ground us in you.

Rassemble-nous, tout près de toi.
Rassemble-nous, tout près de toi.
rassemble-nous, rassemble-nous,
tout près, tout près de toi.

Sunday Message

What Can I Do?
(MV 191)

What can I Do? What can I bring?
What can I say? What can I sing?
I'll sing with joy.
I'll say a prayer.
I'll bring my love.
I'll do my share.

I See a New Heaven
VU 713

R: I see a new heaven.
I see a new earth
As the old one will pass away,
Where the fountain of life flows
And without price goes
To all people who abide in the land.

There, there on the banks of a river
Bright and free,
Yielding her fruit,
Firm in her root,
The Tree of Life will be. R.

There, there where death dies
And our lives are born again,
Body and soul, struggling but whole
Like flowers after the rain. R.

There, there where the darkness
Brings visions from above.
There where the night,
Bearing new light,
Reveals the promise of love. R.

There, there where we work
With the love of healing hands.
Labour we must,
True to our trust
To build a promised new land. R.

Go out now. There is so much hope,
so much joy and so much beauty.
We leave, confident of God's love
And of His victory over Evil.

We go and share the message of Christ through our
words, our deeds and our very person.
We are blessed, empowered, and trusted
by the One who sends us.

Go and be a blessing.
