O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee
(VU 560, verse 1)

O Master, let me walk with thee
In lowly paths of service free;
Teach me thy secret, help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.

Call to Worship

Come, let us gather in this sacred space,
where voices blend and instruments sing,
where melody and harmony lift our spirits to God.

We come with grateful hearts,
ready to join the chorus of creation,
to celebrate the gift of music
that stirs our souls and unites us in praise.

From ancient hymns to new songs of hope,
the Spirit breathes through every note and every word.
Our songs are prayers, our music a language of love.

We sing of God's steadfast love,
a love that never fails,
we lift our voices for justice,
peace, and joy to fill the earth.

In every rhythm and refrain, God's presence is near,
calling us to worship, to reflect, to rejoice.

May our hearts be open, our voices strong,
as we celebrate the musical life of this community,
joined together in one harmonious praise.

Let the music we make be a witness to the world,
a sign of hope, a beacon of light,
a testament to God's boundless creativity and love.

We offer our songs as an offering of thanks
and a prayer for the journey ahead.
Alleluia!
Amen.

We Are One
(VU 402)

We are one as we come,
As we come, joyful to be here,
In the praise on our lips
There's a sense that God is near.
We are one as we sing,
As we seek, we are found;
And we come needful of God's grace
As we meet, together in this place.

We are one as we share,
As we share brokenness and fear,
In the touch of a hand
There's a sense that God is here.
We are one as we care,
As we heal, we are healed;
And we share warmth in God's embrace
As we pray together in this place.

We are one as we feast,
As we feast, peace becomes the sign;
In the bread and the wine
There's a sense of love divine.
We are one as we come,
As we feed, we are fed;
And we feel God's refreshing grace
As we meet at table in this place.

We are one as we hear,
As we hear, heart and hand unite;
In the word we receive
There's a sense that God is light.
We are one as we leave,
As we love, we are loved;
And we seek justice in God's ways
As we move together from this place.

Prayer of Confession

God of melody and harmony, we confess that sometimes
our lives do not reflect the joy and peace
that we sing of. Those moments when we have
allowed the noise of the world to drown out your
song in our hearts.
Forgive us when we have not been an example of your light,
or lived the expression of our faith,
or when we have kept silent
when our voices were needed.
Hear our prayer and renew us,
that our lives may sing your glory,
now and always. Amen.

Following cofession we hear

Words of Assurance.

May God's Sheltering Wings
(MV 214)

May God's Sheltering Wings,
Her gathering wings protect you.
May God's nurturing arms,
Her cradling arms sustain you,
And hold you in her love,
And hold you in her love.

Love Divine, All Loves Excelling
(VU 333)

Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of Heav'n to earth come down,
Fix in us thy humble dwelling;
All thy faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, Thou art all compassion,
Pure, unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation,
Enter every trembling heart....

Morning Has Broken
(VU 409)

Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing
Praise for the morning
Praise for them springing
Fresh from the world...

Rejoice, the Lord Is King
(VU 213)

Rejoice, the Lord is King!
Your risen Lord adore!
Rejoice, give thanks and sing,
And triumph evermore.
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice...

I Have Called You by Your Name
(MV 161)

I have called you by your name,
You are mine;
I have gifted you
And ask you now to shine.
I will not abandon you;
All my promises are true.
You are gifted, called, and chosen;
You are mine...

How Great Thou Art
(VU 238)

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art...

- The Anthem -

And he will raise you up
On eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of his hand...

(VU 541)

Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, all creatures high and low;
Give thanks to God in love made known:
Creator, Word and Spirit, One.

Prayers of the People and the Lord's Prayer

Let us come before God with open hearts and minds,
bringing the hopes and struggles of the world into the light
of divine love and grace.
Response: God of love, receive our prayers
and surround us in loving strength.

Holy and loving God, Creator of all,
we give thanks for the gift of this day, for the breath of life,
for the beauty and diversity of your creation.
In the midst of climate crises and environmental change, we pray for healing of the earth,
that we may be faithful stewards of the land, air, and waters
entrusted to our care.
May your Spirit guide us toward justice and sustainability,
inspiring bold action to protect all living beings.
God of love, receive our prayers and surround us in loving strength.

God of peace,
we remember the conflicts and wars that continue to fracture
communities and nations around the world.
We pray for those living in fear, for refugees and displaced
peoples seeking safety and hope.
Grant wisdom to leaders, compassion to neighbours, and
courage to all who work for reconciliation and peace.
May we be instruments of your peace, breaking down walls
of division and building bridges of understanding.
God of love, receive our prayers and surround us in loving strength.

Compassionate God,
we bring before you those who are suffering from illness,
isolation, or grief.
In the shadow of a global pandemic, we hold in our hearts the frontline workers,
the vulnerable, and those whose lives have been forever changed.
Comfort the lonely, strengthen the weak, and renew the weary.
Let your healing presence be known in every hospital room,
every home, and every place of care.
God of love, receive our prayers and surround us in loving strength.

God of justice,
we lift up those facing inequality, discrimination, and oppression.
May your Spirit move among us to challenge systemic injustices
based on race, gender, sexuality, and economic status.
Empower us to act with love and courage to dismantle barriers,
to welcome the stranger, and to embody your inclusive kin-dom here and now.
God of love, receive our prayers and surround us in loving strength.

In the silence of this moment, we offer prayers
for those who remain in our hearts
those we love, those who are hurting,
and those who quietly bear burdens unknown to us.
We pray silently now…

(Silence)

Gracious God,
hear these our prayers, spoken and unspoken,
and fill us with your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Send us forth renewed and strengthened,
to be your hands in a world in need of your love.

We pray in the name of Jesus, who taught us to sing...

- Closing Hymn -

Great Is Thy Faithfulness
(VU 288)

Great is thy faithfulness, God our Creator;
There is no shadow of turning with thee;
Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
As thou hast been thou forever wilt be.

R: Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness, ever to me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. R.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow-
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! R.
