We Plough the Fields
(VU 520, verse 3)

We thank you, then, O Maker,
For all things bright and good.
The seed-time and the harvest,
Our life, our health, our food;
Accept the gifts we to offer
For all your love imparts,
And what from us you long for,
Our humble, thankful hearts!

Call to Worship

Sometimes, God, we need to gather to lament.
We come ready to trust you with our grief.
Sometimes, God, we need to gather to rage.
We come ready to trust you with our anger.
Sometimes, God, we need to gather
to witness and to weep.
We come ready to trust that you will
comfort us in our time of need.

Sometimes, we just need to be here together
and sit in the pain.
And so, we come ready to just be, together,
and to trust you with all of who we are.

Let us worship the God who loves the whole of us beyond measure and without exception.

Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
(VU 264)

Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious,
the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious,
Thy great name we praise.

Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds, which are fountains
Of goodness and love.

To all life thou givest,
To both great and small;
In all life thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish
As leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish
But naught changeth thee.

Thou reignest in glory,
Thou rulest in light;
Thine angels adore thee,all veiling their sight;
All praise we would render,
O help us to see
'tis only the splendour of light hideth thee!

Rejoice in the Lord Always
(VU 249)

Rejoice in the Lord always;
And again I say, rejoice. (clap, clap)

Rejoice in the Lord always;
And again I say, rejoice.
(clap, clap)
Repeat
