The 2005 annual luncheon for Lachine West Meals on Wheels volunteers took place at Summerlea United Church Monday, October 17, 2005, under the leadership of long-time branch leader Lucy French.

Susan Armstrong - West Island Volunteer Bureau President
Treasurer / Chef Howard Harvey had a pressing appointment at the curling club,
so he opened the meeting with the "in the black" financial report before skipping out.

The lunch buffet was prepared by Lucy French and the Lachine West executive.
We caught just a couple of shots of the dessert buffet.

After lunch Lucy French said thank you to the volunteers.
She mentioned in particular Jane Percy who took over for Lucy while she was away.
At the head table between Margaret and Lucy is Pierrette Grégoire
who is helping Lucy and Margaret in the Lachine West organization.

Then came Susan Armstrong, telling about the new facilities
to which the West Island Volunteer Bureau has moved.

Jill Roberts, coordinator of Meals on Wheels for the West Island,
shared some information and thoughts.

Lucy French reiterated her thanks to all the volunteers.

And Margaret Hendery said thanks to Pierrette Grégoire
for helping while Margaret was away.

and to all the Meals on Wheels volunteers
who so faithfully help to make life a little better for those in need.
