Pancake Luncheon 5 Mar, 2006

Summerlea's annual Congregational Pancake Luncheon took place after the service Sunday 5 March 2006, directed with usual aplomb by Rolf Smart with help from family, friends, the rockin' (and sleepy) youth group and some young folks from Lakeside Academy. Our guest at the service preceding the lunch was the Rev. Heather McClure, Mission & Service Animator for the Montreal & Ottawa Conference of the United Church. Our thanks to Rolf and all those who helped to set up, cook, serve, clean up and put away. Following are a few photos of the event. Rev. Heather McClure used her "silly" hat to introduce the concept of Mission and Service for the Children's Hour.

In the kitchen, cooking up a storm, we found Zig Krujelskis, Richard Hébert, Rolf Smart and Bryan Maklan.

Meanwhile, up on the stage, pancakes that looked happy to be fodder for the young fry were being created by Kevin McKenzie with support from Linda Rodrigues Rodd, and some help from Erin Overbury and Alayna Roy.
