The 2006 apple pie making activities took place Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday morning, October 12 and 13. Apples were peeled and mixed with flavouring Thursday afternoon. Thursday evening pastry was made and rolled and some apple pies assembled. Friday morning more pastry was made (starting at 7 AM!) and rolled and pies assembled. By mid-day all 12 bushels of apples had been made into some 425 apple pies and stored in freezers.
