St. Barnabas Bell Ringers at Summerlea May 25, 2008

The May 25 2008 Sunday service included music by the St. Barnabas Bell
Ringers, consisting of Wendy Pingree, player & director, Lincoln Layne, Gareth Richardson,
Gideon Scott and Sari Tuominiemi. The group played the Introit: "Just As I Am Walking Without One Plea" - William B. Bradbury, arr'd J.D. Kimball "There Is A BAlm In Gilead" - arr'd K. McChesney and a musical interlude: "My Faith Looks Up to Thee" - Lowell Mason arr'd J.D. Kimball "Holy God We Praise Thy Name" - Katholisches Gesangbuch, arr'd J.D. Kimball The four players (one sat out each tune) played what looked to be about two dozen bells, doing a merry dance as they put down one or two bells and picked up another two without missing a beat. The group will be holding "An Evening of Handbell Ringing" along with the Saint Barnabas Choir on Sat. Jun 7th, 7pm, at Saint Barnabas Church, 12301 Colin, Pierrefonds.
