Williams Twins Baptized July 27 at Rawdon

Sunday, July 27, 2008, Connie and John Osborne were in Rawdon for the baptism of Lucia and Jack
Williams' little girls (Eva Grace and Georgia Anne). John sent along the following comments and
a few photos for the Summerlea website. For those who have not met the Williams, Lucia was
the music director at St. Andrew's Presbyterian church before they amalgamated with Summerlea.
Lucia assisted Summerlea music director Connie Osborne for some time until she became
music director at Roxboro United Church. The Baptism took place at the Mid-Laurentian United Church (with Pastor Debbie Poirier officiating). The Grandparents in the pictures are Lucia's folks. The Baptism was in Rawdon since that is Lucia's parents Church and her Dad (seen in two of the pictures) is a very involved member there. The little Church (of about 16 pews) was filled to bursting for the occasion. The Church also put on a lovely reception (with the typical United Church flair for food and drink) after the service to celebrate and yet another reception followed at Lucia and Jack's house here in town. |
