I Wish I Knew How, 22 Mar 2009
Posted 25 Mar, 2009
The anthem at Summerlea's 22 March 2009 service was a rockin' rendition of the tune "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to be Free", by Billy Taylor and Dick Dallas.

Summerlea's music director Connie Osborne and the choir sang the lyrics (and she got right into it!), with accompaniment by Doug Stewart on piano, Kate Miller on drums and Lee Heppner on bass.

To complete the service, the musical combo played the postlude, an instrumental reprise of the Anthem.

Following are a few photos of the event.

Connie really belted it out!

Musicians Kate Miller, Lee Heppner and Doug Stewart kept the rhythm on track.
Daddy's little girl got in the last photo, too.

After the postlude the musicians took a bow as the congregation applauded.

Our thanks to Connie, Kate, Lee, Doug and the choir for offering us this wonderful music.
