Annual Meeting and Lunch Oct 4, 2010

The 2010 annual general meeting and luncheon for Lachine West Meals on Wheels volunteers took place at Summerlea United Church Monday, October 4, 2010, under the leadership of Pierrette Grégoire. A brief greeting was given by long-time president Lucy French, but she got away before we managed to snap her. Following are a few photos of the proceedings.

Howard Harvey gave the Treasurer's report before heading off to another meeting. In the report he mentioned that at the new price of $2.50 / meal, the meal cost for the year was met with a small amount left over. By some miracle, the cost per meal this year worked out to exactly the same amount as last year. Pierrette Grégoire thanked all the volunteers, and gave a couple of reminders. Yolande, from the West Island Volunteer Bureau, simply said Thank You for the opportunity to meet some volunteers, since her job is mostly in the office.

Thanks to the folks who put on this event, and to all the Meals on Wheels volunteers who so faithfully help to make life a little better for Lachine seniors.
