Trinity Anjou Covenant with Rev. Barend Biesheuvel
Posted 15 Mar., 2011
At 2 PM Sunday, 13 March 2011, a service of covenanting for Rev. Barend Bisheuvel, former Summerlea student minister, took place at Trinity United Church, where Barend is the minister of the Trinity Anjou pastoral charge. This involves services at 9 AM at Anjou and 11 AM at Trinity, so Barend keeps busy.
The service was arranged by Montreal Presbytery and chaired by Rev. Shaun Fryday, Chairman of Montreal Presbytery and minister at Beaconsfield United Church.
Gary Tompkins of Trinity welcomed Barend. Debbie Poirier, president-elect of Montreal & Ottawa Conference, gave the sermon.
A reception in the hall followed the service.

Rev. Barend took his place in the pulpit for the benediction,
and asked the choir to lead the sung Amen, which led to a drum accompaniment.

Following the service the attendees repaired to the hall to enjoy refreshments and conversation.
All in all, the service revealed a lively and spirited congregation.
