Another year. Another anniversary.
Since the building on fiftieth avenue opened in 1952 there have been no less than SIXTY FOUR of these birthdays!
It was COLD outside (down to a bone chilling 26.5 degrees BELOW zero that night!) but nice and warm in St. Andrew's Hall where all were treated to a home cooked meal of pork stew to keep the furnaces well stoked.

Where else can a measly $15(!) buy you not only a hot home cooked meal but an hour of wonderful entertainment afterwards?
This year we were treated to pianist Kris Epps and tenor Ashley Foot.
You may remember how last summer Kris and Ashley, partners in life & in song, filled in for Connie one sunday.
Well this evening we were treated to a wonderful hour of gospel and show tunes.
The rafters rang!

Iwan Edwards, who has had a long association with Kris & Ashley
made the introductions and the magic began!

To conclude a wonderful show, the crowd insisted on an encore and Kris & Ashley obliged by recapping their wonderful take on an old church standard they performed for us when replacing Connie last fall.

Now, unfortunately, I forgot to bring the recorder that night!

But not all is woe. I found a recording from last fall when Ashley & Kris filled Connie's shoes!
